The present invention relates to an antibody and a fragment thereof which specifically bind to c-Met and, more specifically, to a complete human antibody having high affinity and specificity to c-Met isolated from a human Fv (ScFv) phage library, and to a method for preparing a polynucleotide coding the antibody, a recombinant vector containing the polynucleotide, a cell transformed with the recombinant vector, and an antibody specific to c-Met by incubating the cell. The antibody specific to c-Met according to the present invention can efficiently control the activity of c-Met in vivo.
