Disclosed is a position detection system wherein: transmitters (104), which are held by a plurality of moving bodies, respectively, and which wirelessly transmit detection signals (151), and a plurality of receivers, which receive the detection signals (151), are included; each of the transmitters (104) wirelessly transmits the detection signals (151) at first intervals in first mode, and wirelessly transmits the detection signals (151) at second intervals in second mode, each of said second intervals being shorter than each of the first intervals; and operation mode is switched from the first mode to the second mode in the cases where a mode switching signal (152) is received. |
