Production of a molded all-metal nut in the form of an all-metal cap nut (1) comprises initially producing the nut body (11) without the cap in the form of a conventional nut with a threaded through bore, including molding this all-metal body, especially by pressing perpendicular to or in the longitudinal direction of the thread on the upper side (6) of the body facing away from the pressing surface (7).
