<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable exposure control that alleviates influences of smears in a situation where smears are generated at a photometric sensor. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging device has: photometric means performing photoelectric conversion of a subject image and accumulating electric charge to output a signal depending on the accumulated electric charge; setting means setting a control value for controlling the photometric means so that a value of the signal outputted from the photometric means becomes a target value; calculation means calculating a photometric value on the basis of the signal outputted from the photometric means; and exposure control means performing exposure control on the basis of the photometric value calculated by the calculation means.
