<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity by shortening time required from the start of driving of a belt to execution of a meander correction control, and to achieve cost reduction. <P>SOLUTION: Edge profile data P showing shape data of one round of the end part of an intermediate transfer belt 8 is stored in a RAM 504 in association with the count value of a signal output from an encoder 61 attached to a drive roller 11. Edge profile data P corresponding to the count value of the signal output from the encoder 61 is read out from the RAM 504, and the meandering amount of the intermediate transfer belt 8 is calculated based on the readout edge profile data P and edge data E obtained by output of an edge sensor 203 during rotational movement of the intermediate transfer belt 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
