<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing an aqueous dispersion sol containing metal oxide fine particles having a high refractive index and low photo-catalytic activity, the aqueous dispersion sol, and an organic solvent dispersion sol and a coating composition containing the metal oxide fine particles. <P>SOLUTION: The method for preparing the aqueous dispersion sol containing the metal oxide fine particles comprises preparing a surface coated titanium-based fine particle aggregate by coating the surface of the titanium-based fine particles comprising a composite oxide containing titanium, tin and/or silicon with a silica-based oxide or a silica-based composite oxide, drying and baking the same and pulverizing the obtained baked aggregate in the presence of water. The aqueous dispersion sol, and the organic solvent dispersion sol and the coating composition containing the metal oxide fine particles are also provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
