A method for calculating an up-going wavefield from particle motion sensor signals (G signal, 52) and pressure sensor signals (H signal, 51) are disclosed. The particle motion sensor signals (G signal, 52) and the pressure sensor signals (H signal, 51) are transformed from a time domain (t) to a frequency domain (f). An up-going wavefield (U) is calculated as a combination of the particle motion sensor signal (G signal, 52) multiplied by a first scaling function (Eqs. 1, 19, 20, 23) and the pressure sensor signal (H signal, 51) multiplied by a second scaling function (Eqs. 16, 19, 20, 23). The first scaling function increases and the second scaling function decreases as frequencies increase over the frequency domain. |
