<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow reflection signals from multiple targets to be received without loss while reducing interference with interference source(s) such as an ECM device, a communication device and other rader systems arranged near a radar system, even when the interference source(s) transmit strong intermittent signals. <P>SOLUTION: A radar system operates on the basis of a control signal output from a control unit 15 for controlling operation of interference signal source(s). The system receives from the control unit 15 timing information indicating timing when an interference signal source 16 stops transmission, transmits a chirp modulation signal having a time length equivalent to a detection distance prior to stopping of an interference signal, and receives reflection signals from multiple targets located in the range of the detection distance within a short reception time period at the same time when the interference signal stops. Since the radar system acquires distance information regarding a distance to each target by a differential frequency between transmission and reception, a required reception time period does not depend on a maximum detection distance and the radar system can receive the signals in a short time. Besides, since the radar system performs signal processing by using a reception signal only in a time when no interference signal exists, interference with interference signal source(s) can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
