PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas barrier film excellent in wet heat resistance and transparency.SOLUTION: A gas barrier film has: a substrate; an inorganic barrier layer positioned on the substrate; and a metal atom-containing layer positioned on the inorganic barrier layer, containing silicon atoms and metal atoms, in which the element composition ratio (atom%) of the metal atoms to the silicon atoms (metal atom content/silicon atom content×100) is 0.1-100 (atom%).
