PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of executing a high quality collapsing operation, while reducing power consumption.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus including a collapsible lens barrel includes a zoom lens which performs a variable power operation, a focus lens which performs focus adjustment, and control means which controls the drive of the zoom lens and the focus lens. When the collapsing operation of the lens barrel is performed and when the focus lens is driven to a first position and then, the zoom lens passes through a predetermined position, the control means stops the position control of the focus lens.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
