PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor light-emitting element excellent in visibility, and capable of performing macro evaluation, and the like, for an uneven structure, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A semiconductor light-emitting element includes a light source (2) having an uneven structure, a light distribution conversion member (3) arranged on the first light-emission surface, and a second light-emission surface located on the opposite side of the light distribution conversion member facing the light source. From the first light-emission surface of the light source, light source light observed as a substantially n time symmetrical light-emission profile A is emitted, and from the second light-emission surface side of the light distribution conversion member, conversion light observed as a light-emission profile B is emitted. The ratio of the diameter (&phgr;) of a circumscribed circle obtained from the contour of the light-emission profile B and the diameter (&phgr;) of an inscribed circle is smaller than the ratio of the diameter (&phgr;) of a circumscribed circle obtained from the contour of the light-emission profile A and the diameter (&phgr;) of an inscribed circle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
