PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a difference frequency generator which efficiently converts power of a light source into power of electromagnetic waves.SOLUTION: A difference frequency generator 100 which converts a plurality of laser lights of different optical frequencies into electric signals, includes: a cyclic optical demultiplexer 102 including at least first and second output ports; and at least first and second photo mixers 103. The cyclic optical demultiplexer is configured in such a manner that first and second laser lights which are separated just by a fixed optical frequency difference are outputted to the first and second output ports, respectively, and that third and fourth laser lights which are separated just by the optical frequency difference are outputted to the second output port. The first and second laser lights outputted from the first output port are inputted to a first photo mixer, and the third and fourth lights outputted from the second output port are inputted to a second photo mixer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
