PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize control in accordance with the category of abnormality in an electric system, thus securing both the protection of equipment and the travel performance in an evacuation travel.SOLUTION: An electric system of an electric vehicle includes: a converter 200 connected between a battery 150 and power lines PL, NL; and inverters 210, 220 connected between the power lines and MG 1 and MG 2, respectively. In a case where an abnormality of an excessive current or excessive voltage occurs in the electric system, an ECU 170 stops equipment in which the abnormality occurs. Meanwhile in a case where an abnormality (an abnormality of a second category) for which an abnormal spot cannot be identified from among plural spots having a possibility of abnormality occurs in the electric system, the ECU 170 causes the converter 200 to operate in the state of securing a power feed path in both direction between the power line PL and battery 150, as well as stopping a step-up voltage function, and allows the electric vehicle to continue travelling, with the operations of the inverters 210, 220 continued.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
