PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable coping with forward movement, backward movement, lateral movement, small turn and so forth on the land and on the water without using a complicated mechanism.SOLUTION: A steering system with in-wheel motors of an amphibious vehicle comprises in-wheel motor drive devices M for driving wheels w at least on rear wheels. The wheels w driven by the in-wheel motor drive devices M are formed with screw parts s. By steering devices 10, 20 for steering the right and left wheels w via tie rods 12, 22 respectively connected to the right and left wheels w, each of the right and left wheels w can be steered to at least 90 degrees respectively on the right and left to the travel direction around a king pin axis P of a vehicle 1 as a center axis. The in-wheel motor drive devices M and the steering devices 10, 20 are mounted to the vehicle 1 of a buoyant ship hull structure to transmit driving force to the wheels w so that a land travel mode by rolling motion of the wheels w and a water navigation mode by propulsion force with rotation of the screw parts s can be switched.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
