PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorber capable of sufficiently reducing attenuation coefficient at middle and high speed ranges.SOLUTION: A shock absorber D comprises an extending-side passage 2A and a depressing-side passage 2B formed at a piston (a valve disc) 1 defining two chambers to communicate with two chambers and alternatively arranged in a circumferential direction; seats 3A, 3B enclosing an outlet of the extending-side passage 2A or an outlet of the depressing-side passage 2B and valve bodies 4A, 4B for opening or closing the extending-side passage 2A and the depressing-side passage 2B. The seats 3A, 3B comprise an arc-shaped outer seat part 30, a pair of two middle seat parts 31 extending from both ends in a circumferential direction of the outer seat part 30 toward a central axis X side of the piston 1; and an inner seat part 32 extending from a central axis X side end of the middle seat part 31 toward the opposite side seat in a circumferential direction to connect the adjoining middle seat part 31, and the inner seat part 32 is arranged on a straight line (y) connecting the central axis X side end of the middle seat part 31 or at the central axis X side rather than from the straight line (y).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
