PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater that enables easy draining of liquid remaining within a liquid path by using a simple configuration and that enables prevention of breeding of bacteria.SOLUTION: A water heater includes: a tank (1) for storing liquid; a liquid path (L1-L3, 21) that has one end connected to the tank (1) and the other end with a discharge port (12); a two-way pump (P) disposed in the liquid path (L1-L3, 21); a heater (22) disposed on the discharge port (12) side of the two-way pump (P) of the liquid path (L1-L3, 21) and heating the liquid within the liquid path (L1-L3, 21); and a control device (3) for controlling the two-way pump (P) and the heater (22). The control device (3) controls the two-way pump (P) for switching between a first operation mode of delivering the liquid from the tank (1) side toward the heater (22) side and a second operation mode of delivering the liquid from the heater (22) side toward the tank (1) side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
