PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmitting shovel that reduces a data volume to be transmitted by the shovel and prevents omission of an abnormality.SOLUTION: A sensor measures a physical quantity in focus related to a utilization state. A first communication apparatus transmits data to an external device. A control unit calculates a plurality of evaluation vectors used in evaluation of a degree of shovel abnormality, based on measurement values by the sensor. Furthermore, operation state data are generated that serve as a foundation for determining a degree of abnormality in an operation state, based on an evaluation vector furthest from a condition for determining a normal operation state, among a plurality of evaluation vectors derived based on a plurality of measurement values obtained during a set period.
