PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader, and a control method and a program of the image reader that can perform different processes depending upon a document size specified before conveyance is larger or smaller than a size specified after the start of conveyance.SOLUTION: An MFP 101 detects a size of a document placed on a document placement part S601, Further, the MFP reads a region corresponding to the acquired detection size to generate image data, acquires an actual document size in document conveyance, and determines whether the actual document size is larger than the detection size. When the actual document size is larger than the detection size, notice of the erroneous detection is given to a user, and output processing is quit so that image data having part of a document lost is not output.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
