PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system which performs automatic camera setting depending on the characteristics of an interchangeable lens to be used and the photographic scene.SOLUTION: A lens interchangeable camera system including a lens device 400, and the body of a digital camera 100 on which the lens device 400 can be mounted is provided. Storage means storing the camera setting information, corresponding to the lens information indicating the characteristics of the lens device 400, for each photographic scene, is provided. The digital camera 100 acquires the lens information indicating the characteristics of the lens device 400 from the lens device 400 mounted on the body, acquires the camera setting information, corresponding to the current photographic scene and the lens information thus acquired, from the storage means, and then performs setting reflecting the camera setting information thus acquired.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
