PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphor comprising at least either nitride or oxynitride including alkaline-earth metal elements, silicon and activator elements with small particle diameters having excellent light emitting properties, and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: Provided is a phosphor in which the volume average particle diameter is 50 to 400 nm, and the internal quantum efficiency in an excitation wavelength of 450 nm is 60% or higher. The method for producing the phosphor comprises: a precursor preparation step of preparing phosphor precursor particles in which the volume average particle diameter is 250 nm comprising a compound including silicon nitride particles and alkaline-earth metal elements deposited on the surface of each silicon nitride particle and a compound including activator elements; and a firing step of firing the phosphor precursor particles.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
