PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a period of time required for operation eliminating sagging of roll paper.SOLUTION: A roll paper transportation control method detects motion of a movement member 27 being pressed in a direction imparting tension to recording paper 3 and being moved in response to a variation of the tension applied to the recording paper 3 and controls a paper feed motor 25 in response to the motion of the movement member 27 at the time of wind-up operation rotating a roll body by the paper feed motor 25 and winding up sagging of the recording paper 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
