Disclosed are a system and a method for detecting abnormal financial transactions in real time. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the system for detecting abnormal financial transactions in real time includes: an electronic finance server for collecting information, related to an electronic financial transaction, upon a request for a preliminary transaction if the electronic finance server receives from a terminal the request for a preliminary transaction for the electronic financial transaction and transmitting a request for detecting an abnormal transaction including the collected information; and an abnormal financial transaction detection sever for receiving the request for detecting an abnormal transaction from the electronic finance server and detecting whether the electronic financial transaction is abnormal by using the information included in the received request for detecting an abnormal transaction.
