A thin film transistor array panel according to the present invention includes a substrate; a gate line and a common voltage line which are electrically separated from the upper part of the substrate and are arranged in parallel; a gate insulating layer which is formed on the gate line and the common voltage line; a first protection layer which is formed on the gate insulating layer; a common electrode which is formed on the first protection layer; a second protection layer which is formed on the common electrode; and a pixel electrode and a connection member which are formed on the second protection layer and are electrically separated from each other. The connection member is formed in a horizontal direction parallel to the gate line, and connects the common voltage line and the common electrode, so an aperture ratio and transmissivity can be improved.
