Disclosed are a network registration method and a terminal device, which are used for solving the problem in the prior art that a UE uses a false APN parameter to implement LTE Attach and thus cannot be registered to an LTE network. The method comprises: after determining that a first registration request initiated by a terminal to a network server is rejected, the terminal sends a second registration request to the network server, wherein the first registration request carries a default APN parameter, and the second registration request does not carry an APN parameter, or the second registration request carries an APN parameter indicating that the terminal is successfully registered to a network; and the terminal receives a registration accept message returned by the network server for the second registration request, and determines that the terminal is successfully registered to the network. Therefore, the success rate of registration to the network is increased, a user can enjoy a service provided by the LTE network in the LTE network environment, and the user experience is improved. |
