The invention relates to a mechanical workpiece transfer device and a mechanical unloading device and a mechanical assembly for the machining of workpieces with the workpiece transfer device. The mechanical workpiece transfer device is movable between a workpiece support of a machine tool for machining workpieces on the one hand and a workpiece support arranged on the other hand. The mechanical workpiece transfer device has a workpiece-clipboard with a lifting device by means of which the workpiece clipboard on a workpiece support mutual takeover level is raised and lowered on a workpiece depositing sided handover level. From the raised to the level of assumption of workpiece clipboard can be given a work piece of the workpiece supportat least.
