The present invention relates to an organic electroluminescent display device and a manufacturing method thereof. The organic electroluminescent display device includes: a thin film transistor prepared in a pixel region of a backplane substrate; an overcoat layer formed on a front surface of the backplane substrate including the thin film transistor; an anode electrode formed on an upper portion of the overcoat layer and connected to the thin film transistor; a bus electrode formed on the upper portion of the overcoat layer and spaced from the anode electrode; a bank film formed on the upper portion of the overcoat layer between the anode electrode and the bus electrode; a light emitting layer formed on an upper portion of the anode electrode between the bank films; and a cathode electrode formed on an upper portion of the backplane substrate and in electric contact with the bus electrode.
