CALL SETUP METHOD AND APPARATUS IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

The present invention is to reduce a time needed to set a voice call in an environment which uses a circuit switched fallback (CSFB) so as to provide a voice call service to a terminal in a long term evolution (LTE) system. According to the present invention, when the voice call is generated to the terminal, which is connected to the LTE system, in a mobile terminal using the CSFB, the terminal reuses system information on previously connected 2G/3G cells after being switched into a 2G/3G legacy system or directly performs a voice call setup without receiving system information unnecessary for a CSFB process. Accordingly, the present invention can reduce a time required to start a voice call.
