PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispose of excavated soil which is discharged in quantities.SOLUTION: Once a shield machine 10 starts excavating the ground, foaming equipment 12 injects foam between a pit face and a front face of a cutter 22 or into a chamber 26. Excavated soil in the chamber 26 is taken in from an introduction port 2810 of a screw conveyor 28 and moved toward a discharge port 2812. Defoaming agent injection equipment 16 injects a defoaming agent into the excavated soil in the screw conveyor 28 from a plurality of places of a cylinder body 2802 of the screw conveyor 28. Consequently, the excavated soil and defoaming agent are agitated and mixed by the screw conveyor 28 to eliminate foam in the excavated soil. The excavated soil in the screw conveyor 28 when reaching the discharge port 2812 falls onto a lower belt conveyor 32 and is transferred to a transport vehicle 34 by the belt conveyor 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
