PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polybutylene terephthalate resin composition that is excellent in mechanical characteristics, hydrolysis resistance, and flame retardancy and excellent in thermal shock resistance when molded into an insert molded article.SOLUTION: A polybutylene terephthalate resin composition is prepared by mixing (C) 1-10 pts.wt. of a glycidyl group-containing copolymer comprising, as copolymerization components, an α-olefin and an α,&bgr;-unsaturated glycidyl ester, (D) 5-20 pts.wt. of an unmodified ethylene-α-olefin copolymer having a density of 870 kg/mor less and comprising, as copolymerization components, ethylene and an α-olefin having 3-20 carbon atoms, (E) 1-35 pts.wt. of a halogen-based flame retardant, (F) 1-25 pts.wt. of antimony trioxide, and (G) 10-110 pts.wt. of reinforced fiber into 100 pts.wt. of the total of (A) 50-95 pts.wt. of polybutylene terephthalate and (B) 5-50 pts.wt. of polyethylene terephthalate. The mixed weight ratio of (C)/(D) is from 10/90 to 30/70.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
