PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochromic device in which the decoloring response is improved while the drive voltage is reduced.SOLUTION: An AC voltage is applied to an electrochromic element during a decoloring operation of the electrochromic element. With the AC voltage, a maximum voltage (E) is between a positive-side coloring threshold voltage (E) and a negative-side coloring threshold voltage (E), and a minimum voltage (E) is the negative-side coloring threshold voltage (E) or lower. The period (PW) in which the voltage of the negative-side coloring threshold voltage or lower is applied is shorter than the charge transfer period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
