PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain satisfactory image data in image processing for converting input image data into image data spuriously representing gradations for each unit region.SOLUTION: An image processing system includes: classification means for classifying pixels of halftone attributes into a first pixel group and a second pixel group for cells of input image data; calculation means for calculating the number of dots which should be outputted in each of the first pixel group and the second pixel group on the basis of a total of pixel values of pixels included in the pixel groups for each of the first pixel group and the second pixel group; holding means for holding distribution order information indicating a dot distribution order of pixels included in the unit region; and determination means for determining output values of the pixels included in the unit region in accordance with the determination by the determination means and the classification by the classification means. In the case where a concerned pixel is a halftone attribute, an output value of the concerned pixel is determined on the basis of the number of dots corresponding to the pixel group into which the concerned pixel is classified, and the dot distribution order.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
