PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning blade that has high followability, suppresses curling of a tip ridge part, abnormal sound, and wear of a blade, and can provide good cleaning properties in high-speed printing.SOLUTION: There is provided a cleaning blade comprising a rigid body holder 621 and a strip-shaped elastic body 622 fixed to the holder, and having a tip ridge part of the elastic body in contact with the surface of a cleaning target member to clean the surface of the cleaning target member, where a blade lower face 62b of the cleaning blade including the ridge in contact with the cleaning target body has a portion in which: the Martens hardness 20 μm inside from the surface is 0.9 N/mmto 5.0 N/mm; the Martens hardness 40 μm inside from the surface is 0.3 N/mmto 0.8 N/mm; the Martens hardness 20 μm inside from the surface is larger than the Martens hardness 40 μm inside from the surface by 0.6 N/mmor more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
