PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device which is simple to operate and which no longer requires push buttons.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a portable electronic device capable of displaying information, attached to a wrist and including: a bracelet 10 formed of a flexible element; an electronic assembly 12; display means 13; an energy source; and control means 15. The control means 15 includes at least one strain gauge 150, capable, by the application of pressure to the strain gauge 150, of generating a control signal which is applied to the electronic assembly 12, and the direction and the position of the pressure on the strain gauge 150 permit the display of information and/or activation of a predetermined function.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
