PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high refractive index film which is less susceptible to cracks and peeling with no dependence on thickness thereof and time after fabrication and yet offers a refractive index of 1.7 or greater, and to provide a composition for forming the same.SOLUTION: A high refractive index film contains a plurality of first metal oxide nanoparticles 13 modified by a compound having a photopolymerizable reactive group, and a plurality of second metal oxide nanoparticles 14 having an average particle diameter greater than that of the first metal oxide nanoparticles 13 and being dispersedly arranged relative to the first metal oxide nanoparticles 13. A mixing weight ratio of a total weight of the first metal oxide nanoparticles 13 to a total weight of the second metal oxide nanoparticles 14 shall be in a range of 90:10 to 70:30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
