PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Li ion secondary battery with a positive electrode arranged by use of an active material having a cation-exchange structure, which meets a theoretical capacity of the positive electrode active material.SOLUTION: A lithium ion secondary battery comprises: a positive electrode including a positive electrode active material; and a negative electrode. The positive electrode active material is expressed by the following general formula, and has a crystal structure of at least one of space groups P2/n and Pmn2and further, a cation-exchange structure in which Li is put in part of Fe/Mn sites and Fe or Mn is located in part of Li sites: LiFeMnSiO(where 0<x<2 and 0<y<1). In the lithium ion secondary battery, Li of a quantity enough to compensate for Li deficiency in the positive electrode active material is included as a negative electrode active material and/or a constituent other than the negative electrode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
