PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding member having high corrosion resistance and high wear resistance and having strong bonding between a resin composition and a porous sintered layer of the sliding member.SOLUTION: A porous sintered layer 4 composing a sliding member 3 consists of a Ni-P alloy phase 7 and a granular steel phase 6, and has high corrosion resistance against organic acids and sulfur components. The average area ratio of a ferrite phase in the structure of a steel phase 6U of a sliding surface side steel phase granule group 6UG in the granular steel phase 6 laminated in plural numbers in a cross-sectional view is 10% or less, so that the wear resistance of the porous sintered layer 4 is high. On the other hand, the average area ratio of a ferrite phase in the structure of a steel phase 6L of an interface side steel phase granule group 6LG is 20% or more, so that the thermal expansion amount difference between a resin composition 5 and the steel phase 6L of the sliding member 3 at the interface is small, whereby shearing hardly occurs at the interface to strengthen bonding between the resin composition 5 and the granular steel phase 6L of the sliding member 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
