PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die steel that has a high crack resistance and wear resistance, and moreover, that is low in cost, and to provide a warm/hot-working die using the same.SOLUTION: A die steel contains 0.30<C<0.45 mass%, 0.01<Si<0.15 mass%, 0.50<Mn<1.18 mass%, 0.015<P<0.050 mass%, 5.36<Cr<5.92 mass%, 0.98<Mo<1.37 mass%, 0.30<V<0.72 mass%, and 0.0150<N<0.0800 mass%, and the remainder is composed of Fe and inevitable impurity. The die steel may contain, as the inevitable impurity, a predetermined amount or less of S, Cu, Ni, Al, W, O, Co, Nb, Ta, Ti, Zr, B, Ca, Se, Te, Bi, Pb, or Mg.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 |
