PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device including a combination of a seal lip and a seal flange in slidable contact with each other, capable of the occurrence of static leakage.SOLUTION: A sealing device includes a static leakage suppression structure between a seal lip and an axial end surface of a seal flange. The static leakage suppression structure is configured to provide a satin-processed portion in one of or each of a region of the seal flange in slidable contact with the seal lip and a region of the seal lip in slidable contact withe seal flange. Furthermore, the static leakage suppression structure is configured such that a satin-processed portion is provided on an inner surface of a screw groove or the screw groove has a cross-sectional shape other than a triangular shape. |
