发明名称 Multiple turret lathe
摘要 979,423. Automatic turret lathes. NOMO S.p.A. Aug. 28, 1961 [Sept. 15, 1960], No. 30984/61. Heading B3T. An automatic lathe comprises two or more parallel workpiece-carrying spindles rotatively mounted in a frame, a tool-holder slide displaceable along slides parallel to the axes of rotation of the spindles the slide carrying a plurality of turrets each associated with one of the spindles and the axis of rotation of each turret forming an angle with the axis of rotation of any of the other turrets. The machine is arranged on a bed having a pillar to support the two work spindles 4, 5, Fig. 1 and webs adjacent thereto to support the turret slide 11. The rear spindle is raised above the front spindle to correspond with a horizontal turret 15 on the slide and the front spindle corresponds with a vertical turret 14 arranged on the same slide 11. Spindle drive. The work spindles are rotated in unison by a " toothed " belt 8, Fig. 4, connecting driving pulleys on the spindles, and a similar belt 7 connecting spindle 4 with an electric motor 6. The spindles may be " broken" " to facilitate replacing a belt. The spindles are adapted to take bar-stock and the chuck collets are operated by a common link, which is moved at the required times by levers and a fluid cylinder with a solenoid controlled reversing valve. Tool slides. The lathe is provided with four transversely operating tool slides, two for each spindle. The oppositely arranged slides 21, 22. Fig. 4, are moved from a drive-shaft 102 (see below), bevel gears and cross-shafts rotating worms 117 which in turn rotate worm pinions on upright shafts provided with cams 119. The latter operate double-armed levers 121 which operate, through rack and pinion gear, adjustable pusher sleeves 120 for moving the slides against return springs. The other tool slides 16, 17, Fig. 4, are inclined and are operated from drive-shaft 102 by worm gears 105, 113 cam 107, rack plunger 112, pinions 110, 111, and racks 108, 109 carried by adjustable tappets bearing against the slides. Turret slide. The turrets 14, 15 are simultaneously locked and indexed and also rapidly withdrawn for indexing by a two-speed electric motor 50, Fig. 4, driving a " one-revolution " shaft 51 which is " switched-in " by a double armed lever 60 controlled by a timing disc 90 (see below). This gearing may be hand operated for " setting-up." The drive to " Geneva " indexing mechanism also drives the usual crank-shaft 56 for quick withdrawal of the turret during indexing. The crank and its connecting rod are secured to a slide 86 with rack teeth which is connected to the spring-returned turret slide. Feed of the latter is effected from a toothed segment 84 on a double-armed lever 81 moved by a control cam 79. The latter is driven by worm gearing from a shaft 73 which also drives the tool-feed drive-shaft 102. A motor 61 drives through compound pick-off gears and a hand-operated clutch 70, the shaft 73 and also the control disc shaft 89. The shaft 73 may be rotated by hand wheel 97 for " setting-up " when the clutch 70 is disengaged. The control shaft carries in addition to control disc 2028 a control disc 91 which operates switch gear for the collet operation &c. Specification 979,424 is referred to.
