PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high definition display in which leak current is small, reliability is high and a TFT as a single gate is formed by a top gate.SOLUTION: In a display device, scan lines 10 which intersect to one another in a direction perpendicular to the extending direction of a semiconductor layer 103 serve as gate electrodes to form a TFT. The semiconductor layer 103 is connected to a video signal line 20 through a through-hole 140 at one side of the TFT, and connected to a contact electrode 107 through a through-hole 120 at the other side of the TFT. A floating electrode 30 which is formed of the same material as the gate electrode simultaneously with the gate electrode exists on the upper layer of the semiconductor layer 103 between the TFT and the through-hole 140 or between the TFT and the through-hole 120. |
