PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic damper capable of improving vibration damping characteristics.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic damper 10 converts a linear motion of a nut 52 to a rotational motion of a screw shaft 32, transfers this rotational motion to a motor 36, and generates a vibration damping force by an electromagnetic force of the motor 36. The screw shaft 32 includes a radial protrusion portion 72 at a position farther from the nut 52 than a bump stopper 80. The screw shaft 32 includes a friction member 82 between the radial protrusion portion 72 and the bump stopper 80 in an axial direction of the screw shaft 32. |
