PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photon generation device that suppresses an influence of an excitation light scattering, and attains a high coherence.SOLUTION: A photon generation device comprises: a single quantum dot that is formed on a semiconductor substrate; an excitation light source that excites an exciton molecule state of the quantum dot by a two-photon resonance; and an optical filter that separates at least one of a recoupling light emission of an exciton from the quantum dot and a recoupling light emission of an exciton molecule from excitation light emitted from the excitation light source. Let a recoupling energy of the exciton of the quantum dot be E, a recoupling energy of the exciton molecule of the quantum dot be E, and an energy of the excitation light be E, the excitation light source is configured to irradiate the quantum dot with excitation light satisfying E=(E+E)/2 to resonantly excite the exciton molecule state. |
