PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to detect an open-circuit failure in a control signal line in which a control signal for driving a solenoid valve flows in a system wirelessly and remotely controlling a valve.SOLUTION: A signal converter receiving a contact signal indicating valve operation, converting the contact signal to a control signal for driving a solenoid valve controlling the valve operation, and outputting the control signal to a control signal line connected to the solenoid valve, comprises: a battery supplying power to the solenoid valve; an explosion-proof barrier restricting a voltage and a current output to the control signal line; a contact switch provided between the battery and the control signal line; a contact information control unit controlling the contact switch on the basis of the contact signal; a current detection unit detecting the current output from the explosion-proof barrier; and a diagnosis unit detecting an open-circuit failure in the control signal line on the basis of a detection result of the current detection unit when the contact switch is turned on. |
