PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projection apparatus in which power supply to a light source can be disconnected or connected responding to opening and closing of a cap member covering a storage part that stores the light source, without complicating a design for addressing EMC (electro-magnetic compatibility) or without increasing the number of components.SOLUTION: A storage part 19 for detachably storing a light source unit 41 is disposed in a housing 11; a cap member 14 that covers the storing part 19 as openable and closable is attached to the housing 11; and the cap member 14 can be locked by a locking mechanism 311 including a lock piece 312 that is displaced to a locking position or an unlocking position. A connector 321 is disposed, which electrically connects or disconnects between the light source unit 41 attached to the housing 11 and a power supply device 43 supplying electric power to the light source unit, and the connector is configured to interlock with the locking mechanism 311 in such a manner that when the lock piece 312 is set at the locking position, the connector 321 is rendered into a connected state and that when the lock piece 312 is set at the unlock position, the connector 321 is rendered into a disconnection state. |
