PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loading unit that properly engages an actuation unit in a surgical stapler.SOLUTION: A loading unit comprises: a housing 110; a staple pusher assembly 130 operably retained within the housing; a knife assembly 140; and a cartridge assembly disposed on a distal end of the housing. The cartridge assembly comprises: a cartridge 120 supporting staples; and a shipping assembly operably disposed adjacently to the cartridge assembly. The shipping member includes: a shipping member selectively secured to the housing; and a locking member slidably disposed within the shipping member. The locking member is movable between a proximal position, in which the shipping member is secured to the housing, and a distal position, in which the shipping member is removable from the housing. |
