PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of images due to aberration when a correction angle is increased to correct large image shake occurring during photographing while walking or photographing on a vehicle.SOLUTION: An image shake correction device checks the magnitude, time, and number of repetitions of a shake to determine if photographing is performed while walking, and when determined the photographing is performed while walking, increases a correction angle. The image shake correction device allows a photographer to select an area where the photographer wants to perform shake correction most effectively, and when determined that the photographing is performed while walking and increased the correction angle, checks a position of the area relative to an imaging surface. When the position is in the vicinity of the periphery of the imaging surface, the image shake correction device limits the amount of drive of a lens to reduce deterioration of images due to aberration. |
