The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for performing translation based on information of a terminal. According to the present invention, the method for performing translation based on information of a terminal, including location information of the terminal and language information of the terminal, comprises the following steps of: receiving a target word to be translated; receiving location information of the terminal at the time of receiving the target word to be translated; analyzing at least one among the meaning, pronunciation, and related information of the target word to be translated, based on the location information of the terminal and the language information of the terminal; and outputting an output word, which has been converted from the target word to be translated based on the information of the terminal, on the basis of the analysis of the target word to be translated. Therefore, a target word can be translated by analyzing the language of a region where a terminal is located based on position information of the terminal. |
