A system and a method for close proximity vehicular data transmission which may include detecting a situation for activating a short-distance RF transceiver installed in the vehicle, by a process installed in the vehicle. The short-distance RF transceiver transmits and receives a signal in a limited distance from the installed short-distance RF transceiver. The installed short-distance RF transceiver is activated in response to the detection of at least a certain situation. A communication link is established between the installed short-distance RF transceiver and a certain mobile communication device allocated to a certain crew member. Vehicular data is transmitted from the installed short-distance RF transceiver to the certain mobile communication device. |
