Disclosed are a hospital management system using facial recognition and a management method thereof. The system includes: an entrance camera which records people coming in or going out through the entrance of a hospital; an indoor camera which is installed inside the hospital and records a specific place; a data acquisition unit which analyzes the images recorded by the entrance camera and the indoor camera, acquires facial recognition data of the people in the images, and acquires data about the location and time of the face-recognized people; a database where identification data of registered people including registered patients and staff of the hospital is stored in match with facial data and schedule data of patients is updated, stored, and managed; a comparison and determination unit which compares the facial recognition data acquired by the data acquisition unit and the data about the registered people stored in the data to check if the face-recognized person is a registered person, and, if yes, determines whether the registered person is staff, a patient with reservation, a patient without reservation, or a hospitalized patient; an input unit through which data about newly registered people and data about patients′ reservation, treatment, examination, surgery, prescription, entry procedure, and discharge procedure are inputted; a management server which, for each of the registered people verified by the comparison and determination unit, traces the people and manages the schedules according to the schedule data stored in the database through facial recognition; and a data transmission unit which transmits the data processed or generated by the management server to a mobile terminal of the predefined recipients. |
