The present invention relates to a liquid crystal projector using a laser diode. The present invention suggests an optical structure suitable for the liquid crystal projector. A light source comprises a G laser diode which emits a green ray, a B laser diode which emits a blue ray, an R laser diode which is installed to allow a power applying pin to be vertically placed in the installation direction of the power applying pin of the G laser diode or the B laser diode, and emits a red ray. According to the present invention, the pin arrangement of the laser diode is effectively changed without using a separate complicated optical device. Thereby, the polarization directions of R, G, and B light sources inputted to an optical modulator made of liquid crystal can be matched. |
